Procurement Executive

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms and conditions, and establish long-term relationships to ensure the best value and quality.
  • Purchase Orders: Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement documents.
  • Cost Management: Monitor market trends and conditions to identify potential cost savings opportunities and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Inventory Control: Coordinate with the inventory control team to maintain optimal inventory levels, avoiding stockouts and excess stock.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured goods and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier performance and cost analysis, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as production, engineering, and finance, to understand their needs and ensure timely procurement of necessary materials.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
