We are looking for a Cashier to join our team on a 7-month temporary contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers. This role requires a friendly attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
  • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, addressing their needs promptly.
  • Provide information on products, services, and promotions available at the store.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any complaints in a professional manner.
• Transaction Handling:
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions using the POS system.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to store policies.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout the shift, ensuring that cash is counted accurately at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Product & Store Management:
  • Assist in stocking shelves and ensuring that the checkout area is neat, clean, and well-organized.
  • Support inventory management by keeping track of cash shortages or overages and reporting them to the manager.
  • Help with price checks, product returns, and ensuring that all products have accurate price tags.
• Compliance & Security:
  • Follow cash handling and security procedures to prevent loss or theft.
  • Adhere to store policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and hygiene.
  • Report any suspicious activities or discrepancies to the Store Manager immediately.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash and POS systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages, such as Arabic, is a plus.
• Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a temporary position for 7 months.
